Range Murata's All the Way Home came out last year during Comiket 75 and is an A4 sized, 38-page collection of Murata's more recent color and monochrome art work. Range Murata's art work appears in so many publications, it would be great it there was a single book you could buy to have it all, but his most recent doujins are doing an alright job with keeping up.

All the Way Home features art works that were published in quarterlies like ROBOT and Kikan S Magazine along with others that I'm not really sure about ^^; The printing is amazingly high quality, with a lightly textured paper and no visible DPI. It really makes the colors look a lot richer than normal.

I love Murata's more recent style, like on the cover art and maid girl. The highlight for me is always the color illustrations with these, but there's never enough. About half of the doujinshi--18 pages in total--is in color. The rest is black and white, with a mix between sketches and finished art work.

The black and white art work that is presented on the last 20 pages ranges from inked illustrations, to vehicles and furniture schematics (with the assembly instructions in English) to rough and unfinished sketches. According to his homepage, Range Murata will be attending Comiket 77, on 12/31 between 10:00AM and 6:00PM. Hopefully he'll be releasing another color illustration collection at the convention ^^

In marginally related Range Murata news, the 絵師100人 100 Masters of Bishojo Painting release date was pushed back from December 9th, to the 16th, so it should be coming out this week.
